CUET UG 2026: Your Gateway to 230+ Universities

CUET UG 2026, conducted by NTA, is now the sole criterion for UG admissions at Delhi University, JNU, BHU, and 230+ other universities. Understanding the multi-slot, multi-subject format is key to maximizing your score.

CUET UG 2026 Structure

Section 1A: Language (13 languages, choose 1). 50 questions from passage, grammar, vocabulary.

Section 1B: Optional second language (20 languages available).

Section 2: Domain-specific subjects. Choose up to 6 from 32 subjects. Each: 50 questions, 45 minutes. Based on Class 12 NCERT.

Section 3: General Test (for programs not requiring domain). 75 questions covering GK, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical Reasoning.

Subject-Wise Preparation Strategy

For Science Stream Students

Focus on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology NCERTs. CUET questions are NCERT-based—simpler than JEE/NEET. Score high by mastering NCERT thoroughly.

For Commerce Students

Accountancy and Business Studies from NCERT Class 12. Economics requires both Micro and Macro. Practice numerical problems in Accountancy.

For Arts/Humanities

History, Political Science, Geography, Sociology from NCERT. Focus on facts, dates, concepts. Current affairs supplement for Political Science.

Language Section Strategy

Practice RC passages, grammar corrections, and vocabulary. English section is moderate difficulty. Score target: 45/50 for competitive universities.

General Test Tips

GK: Focus on current affairs (last 6 months), static GK, sports, awards. Reasoning: Practice basic logical reasoning types. Quantitative: Class 10 level math—quick and scoring.

University-Wise Strategy

Delhi University: Subject scores + percentile ranking. Aim 95%+ percentile in your domain subjects.

JNU: Specific subject combinations required. Check program-wise requirements.

BHU: Domain subject + language performance. Higher emphasis on domain score.
