The Rajasthan High Court has rejected a petition filed by a CLAT 2026 aspirant who sought to change her reservation status from "Unreserved General‑Women" to "General‑Rajasthan Domicile" after the provisional merit list was announced by the CLAT‑Consortium. Justice Maneesh Sharma observed that any post‑declaration modification of an application form would undermine the integrity of the selection process and that the candidate’s request was untimely. The court’s order reinforces that the provisional list, once published, is final unless challenged through the prescribed legal avenues.

The CLAT‑Consortium released the provisional merit list for the Common Law Admission Test 2026 on 14 September 2026. The list includes 2,50,000 candidates across General, OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories. Preliminary cut‑off scores range from 115 for General‑Male to 95 for General‑Female candidates. Candidates can view their ranks and scores on the official CLAT portal using their registration numbers. The provisional list will be subject to verification, and a final merit list will be published after the document verification process concludes on 30 September 2026.

Prospective law aspirants have until 31 August 2026 to complete online registration for the Common Law Admission Test 2026. Applicants must submit the completed application form, recent passport‑size photograph, and the requisite registration fee of ₹2,500 (General) or ₹1,250 (PwD). Early registration is encouraged to avoid technical glitches on the portal, which opens for new entries on 1 July 2026. Candidates are also reminded to double‑check their reservation category and domicile details, as changes after submission will not be entertained.
